WRS and Rich Restaino & The Obits at Nomad last night!

Just wanted to give a shout-out to everyone who came to Nomad last night!
The show felt great to us, and everyone seemed to have a good time, dancing and drinking and enjoying the sounds of Austin's premier nerdwave power trio.
We played through a pretty-rough version of Big Star's "September Gurls" after learning it over the previous two days.
I sang "She thinks she's got it going on" which is probably about someone you know. Reed sang an ode to not being dead (called "I'm Not Dead". We were going to call it "Staying alive" but that was already taken).
And we sang the ballad of "Summer", about Summer Glau, the girl who is more than just a "Killer From The Future".
I really got to put my new Rickenbacker 12-string through its paces, although I missed using my Casino, which stayed behind and was lonely at home.
All in all a really fun show.
Rich Restaino & The Obits played as well, and if you have not seem them, please do yourself a favor and make an effort to do so! They're a rich blend of Sixties' girl-group harmony styles and Seventies guitar pop and they are just a fun band.
They just released a new album recently called "We're All In This Thing Together". Pick it up!
WRS' next show is in two weeks, at Carousel Lounge on Saturday, April 3 at 9:30pm. We're opening for Jennifer ellen Cook and we are really looking forward to that show!
Isaac
P.S. I do not know why Jennifer's middle name is lowercase, but perhaps we can find out?
